Brand New I'm Not Hungry Kitten

Hello everyone!
I'd like to introduce you to my latest I'm Not Hungry painting, "Meow & Peep" (8.5" x 11", acrylic on maple, $500). This piece is for the Kute as Fuh! show at Piq Grand Central Terminal, NYC opening this Friday, July 17th at 7pm. There's over 45 international artists for this show and from other pieces I've seen, it's going to be a super cute one! There are no pre-sales for this show, so if you're not going to the opening you can either call the shop at 7pm EDT Friday (212.867.0969) to purchase or wait until Monday when everything will be put online (that hasn't sold at over the weekend).

I'd also like to give everyone a heads up that I will be posting a bunch of APs from my Happy Food show, along with 3 originals from previous shows in my own shop on Friday at 3pm EDT. I'll post again Friday morning with some more details and maybe even a discount code ;)

Thanks for reading and hope you all have a great week!

Who wants a Lemur?

My show, I'm Not Hungry, at Gallery 1988 (East) comes to an end tomorrow. I painted my heart out for months and there are 30 originals hanging on those walls.

29 of those originals have sold. I'm flabbergasted, speechless. I couldn't have predicted this outcome in a million years. So much love for everyone who came out and bought one to support me. I hope they bring you smiles for years to come!

But hey...what about that last one? That Black and White Ruffed Lemur with his favorite fruit dancing on his head?

It's "Lee"!

He was one of the most fun to paint (love that fur!) and I'm sure he'll find a good home. You can see all the pieces from my show, purchase prints and maybe even good ol' "Lee" over at Gallery 1988.

Thanks everyone!

I'm Not Hungry solo at Gallery 1988!

I am crazy with anticipation waiting for this show. It's been just about ten months since I started this and it's almost here!

As you can see, I'm continuing my I'm Not Hungry theme with 30 brand new paintings. I've got everything from dogs and cats to red pandas and vultures. I'll have limited edition prints available as well as a goodie or two for those that can make the actual opening.

For those that can't, I highly recommend you subscribing to Gallery 1988's newsletter on the front page of their website so you can know the instant the remaining artwork is posted online March 1st.

We're going to keep these guys underwraps until Feb 28th but here's "Meathead" to keep you going.

Ed and I will be flying out for the opening so we would love to see lots of you there!

Many thanks to the great folks at Gallery 1988 for giving me this opportunity and for you all as well - I wouldn't be doing this if it weren't for all your support.

:D

Noodles

A very rare occurance: I took on a commission.

I was contacted by Sean Lugo at Savage Habbit to do an "I'm Not Hungry" piece with his cat Noodles and a squirrel. I was feeling particularly good that day and thought I might enjoy painting a cat - I accepted.

I think it worked out well (and I didn't dive into a depression) so I'm seriously considering opening up my commission window again after years of saying no to people.

Not right now - but maybe. Yes, maybe :)
