Yayy!!! I'm so excited about this! May I present, "Pipistrello" a cut to shape print on wood now available from Prints on Wood. He's a timed release from now until Halloween (at midnight - boo!) so get yours while you can. I will be signing and numbering each print (and maybe a doodle or two or three). He measures 8" x 10" and costs $55. Thanks!
WonderGround Gallery 2016
I am so excited to not only be premiering 3 brand new paintings for WonderGround Gallery, but to be Artisan of the Month! That means for the month of November you can see and purchase a wide selection of my personal artwork from my very own corner in WonderGround Gallery (seriously so excited!). I'll even be there to sign prints on Saturday, November 5th, 2016 from 2-5 and then again on Sunday, November 6th from 2-5.
I'll also be signing alongside the amazingly talented Joey Chou and Gregg Visintainer on Saturday November 5th from 7-10pm so stop by and say hello - we'd love to see you there!

Valencia and Doodles
I had a bit of time on my hands and decided to paint up one of my little doodles and Valencia is the result. I imagine him living among the citrus groves and protecting his fellow oranges. He measures 6" x 7" and is acrylic on maple and will be available for purchase in my shop today at 4pm EDT.
Speaking of doodles...as many of you may already know, I've been doodling little stream of consciousness characters in my sketchbook lately and the response has been so positive! It seems that many of you get a smile from them and that makes me smile. I decided to venture beyond my sketchbook the other day and doodle on a 5" x 7" piece of bristol. I also got up the nerve to put it up for sale in my shop and it sold immediately. Which just solidifies the fact that I'm going to be doodling more in the future. Many thanks!
From Pugs to Powdered Toast
Hi everyone, I've got three upcoming shows I'd love to talk about, so here goes!
Up first and opening Thursday, June 23rd is Cute, Cute Kawaii! Japan's Pop Culture Movement at the Japanese Friendship Garden in San Diego, CA. This show runs through October 23rd and will include a Comic Con after party on July 22nd from 7-11pm. I was on a roll with kawaii food and decided to do three more pieces for this event. You can see "Mister Brown", "Mister Green" and "Mister Pink" above. All are 7" x 7" acrylic on maple for $200 a piece. For more information please visit their website.
Next up is 90's N!Q@P!Q opening Saturday, June 25thfrom 7-9pm at PIQ Grand Central Terminal, NYC. This show celebrates characters from 90's Nickelodeon shows and has quite the roster, curated by Crummy Gummy.
I couldn't help but do my rendition of Powdered Toast Man (you may remember him from "Ren & Stimpy"), but in his younger years when he was just a Powdered Toast Boy. He measures 8" x 8", acrylic on maple for $375.
For more information you can visit their Facebook event page here.
And last but not least is the 2016 More Than a Cone Auction which begins on July 5th. Every artist was given the task of transforming the "cone of shame" that pets sometimes wear when they need medical treatment. I just couldn't help but see a little Black Eyed Susan flower with a pug in the center. This painting is titled, "Petal Pug", 8" round acrylic on wood and is valued at $350. For more information about this benefit and all the MTAC upcoming events, please visit their website here.
That's all for now!

Happy Hour, Bob's Burgers and Little Ricky
I just got back from my trip to Los Angeles and it was wonderful as always. My opening for Happy Hour at Gallery 1988 East was so much fun! Many thanks to all the people who came out for it - it was great seeing so many new and old friends. The show will be up until May 21st but if you can't make it to the gallery you can now see and purchase paintings and prints online here.
Then on Sunday it was off to Gallery 1988 West for their official Bob's Burgers show to commemorate their 100th episode. It's a rarity that I can attend a group show opening and get to see all the wonderful creations in person. This show is amazing and definitely worth a look. But it's only up on the walls until May 7th. As always, though, it is all online and available for purchase. My painting above is "Little King Trashmouth" and is based on the episode "Slumber Party" where Linda names and feeds the raccoons living in the dumpster out behind the restaurant. Little King Trashmouth loves pizza and red wine - I couldn't resist painting him!
Last up for this month is the PAWS Art Show at Leanna Lin's Wonderland in Eagle Rock. The opening is Saturday, May 7th from 4-8pm. You can get all the details from their Facebook Event page here. You can see my contribution to the show above, "Little Ricky". He's based off of my own little buddy! Leanna's is such an adorable shop and gallery, I only wish I was still in town to be able to attend the opening.
That's all for now, thanks everyone!
What's Happening
I've been absent here for quite some time - my apologies :) I guess it's just easier to do a quick update on social media than a big posting on my website. But spring has sprung here in the northeast and I felt compelled to do some sprucing up. If you didn't know already, I've been busy painting for my upcoming solo ("Happy Hour") at Gallery 1988 opening Friday, April 29th at their East location. I've been having fun with this one and I really hope you all enjoy what I've created!
I've also been doing some character design for a company that I'm sure you all know and love but I'm not at liberty to talk about that. Suffice it to say that I had blast and I really hope that I can share these creations with all of you in the future.
I also started taking an hour or so every week to work in my sketchbook. This is something that I was never good at and wanted to have some fun creating... well...whatever popped into my head at that moment. I didn't think anything of them when I decided to post a page or two on IG, but the response was overwhelming! And the same comment came up over and over -- "Make fabric of these, please!"
Seeing as I've always wanted to do something like this and have been eyeing up Spoonflower for years now, I actually made some fabric! It came out super cute, fun and bright and I just can't wait to get my sewing machine fixed so I can make something out of it. If any of you would like to do the same thing, simply visit http://www.spoonflower.com/profiles/cuddly_rigor_mortis and you can order up this design on a whole bunch of beautiful fabrics, as well as wallpaper and wrapping paper. If the response continues, I'd love to add some more of these sketchbook cuties to the site.
Well that's about all! As always, thanks for reading :D -- Kristin
Black Friday Holiday Sale and New Releases
Hey everyone- how have you been? I've been neglecting my blog so I thought it would be nice to post something fun. I'd love to introduce you to "Kahuna Hula", my newest piece that I did for Gallery 1988 to help celebrate their upcoming 2016 solos. I'm really blown away that this will be my 3rd year doing a solo for them and I couldn't be more excited. After an extended period of brainstorming new ideas I finally (well it was Ed's idea) came up with a theme and I'm sure you're going to love it as much as I do! This silly guy is just a 'taste' of what's to come.
So for Black Friday, this painting along with 30 limited edition signed/numbered giclees will go on sale over at Gallery 1988. They are also having their annual holiday sale where most of their inventory (besides their newest shows) will go on sale for 25% off. You can't beat that! Visit their blog for all the details and releases here.
I'm also happy to announce that I'll be having my own Black Friday Holiday Sale that will include new releases too! Please meet, "Enigma" who popped out of my jet lagged brain after Australia and showcases one of my favorite animals, the platypus. He will be available for purchase in my own shop Friday, November 27th at 3pm EST. I have also loaded up my shop with a bunch of brand new prints and plaques that you will be able to purchase beginning Friday (at 12am EST) along with a discount code that will be good on all purchases (including originals) from Friday (11/27) through Saturday 12/5 (at 11:59pm EST) -- use CRMHOLIDAYSALE for 15%! Visit shop.cuddlyrigormortis.com to see what's new.
I hope you all have a wonderful holiday season and thank you again!

Australia
I've been back from my trip to Australia for just about a week and am only now getting my head together. I think I saved up my jet lag for coming home ;) It was an amazing trip and Ed and I loved everything about it. From the warmth of our hosts (August Clown Gallery) to all the wonderful people that came out to the opening of my Foresta show to the city of Melbourne to the Great Ocean Road. It's hard to put into words what we saw so here's some of my favorite photos.
I hope you enjoy my little slide show! Thanks for looking everyone :D
