This looks amazing! I'm a big fan, especially of your botanical pieces. You just keep getting better. I'm already the proud owner of Woodboy Flower, Beehive Boy, Apple Eye, Mono No Aware, Mr. McThistle, Daffadown Dilly & It's A Trap.
Will this little guy be available for sale online? I'd love to take him home with me.

Thank you so much!!! Actually, my father who introduced me to painting loves bob ross and i was exposed to his art at an early age as well:) I'm so honoured that we have something in common! Thank you for the encouragement, your work never fails to inspire me:)

Hi Samantha, you don't sound like a geek at all :) In fact, I LOVE talking about painting/processes and don't get to do it often enough. I always put together my paintings in photoshop first. That way my composition, shading, colors are set in a medium where I can 'undo' them easily. I find myself painting and wanting to hit ctrl-z and remember why I set things up ahead of time :) I print it out, put charcoal on the back of the paper and simply trace it onto my plaque. I darken up the lines and put finer details in with a mechanical pencil and I guess that's how my pencil lines stay clean. I'm all self-taught as well and grew up watching Bob Ross and William Alexander paint landscapes on tv. Yes, I was inspired by Bob Ross. How geeky is that? ;)

The painting part I can usual do in a day or two. I put together photo reference and compose the piece first in photoshop which also takes a day or two. I always think I'm so slow! Thanks for reminding me otherwise :D
