Art Takes Times Square

I saw this on the local news the other day and thought it would be neat to see what it was all about:

"This summer Chashama and the Times Square Alliance is working with Artists Wanted to present artists from around the world in brilliant lights on a massive scale in one of the most iconic locations in the world. You are invited to participate in: Art Takes Times Square."

Seems like a neat idea, so I put together a little profile and now it's up to you, my dear readers, to help me out. If you like my work and would like to see it shown on one of the Times Square billboards (holy cow!), then please take a second and click "Collect Me" at the top of my profile here to help me win a show in the most immense exhibition of art in New York City.

Thank you!

Hey Kristin, i wanted to say that I really like your art, and this is really random, but I′d just like to ask what made you choose acrylics over other mediums such as, say, watercolor. Did you feel an instant affinity with acrylic or did it need getting used to?

Hi Sam,
Thank you so much! I actually taught myself how to paint with acrylics, hated it and moved on to oils. I just loved being able to get that lovely smooth blending. But when I made the decision to sell my work I felt I needed to move much faster to make any money. Without much thought, I went back to acrylics. It has not been easy, but over the past few years of trial and error I've come to a nice agreement with them and I'm enjoying the fume-free painting process!
Thanks again,
Kristin
