Bad Dads VI

Man, I love Wes Anderson.

And for the sixth straight year, Spoke Art is presenting their Bad Dads show and I'm thrilled to be taking part in it for the fourth straight year! They are doing a NYC pop-up event at Joseph Gross Gallery Aug 7-9 and tickets are competely sold out. Just check out the Facebook events page to see just how many people rsvp'd for this one.

I decided to go back to one of my favorite films, The Royal Tenenbaums, and pay tribute to the iconic dalmation mice and their creator. Big Bang and Bad Dads

Hi everyone!

I'm so happy to announce two brand new pieces for these amazing shows:

First up is my piece entitled, "Sheldon's Spot" for The Physics of Friendship: A Tribute to The Big Bang Theory at Gallery Nucleus. This is a big one - presented by both Nucleus and Warner Bros. the opening reception is next week - Oct 19, 7:00PM - 11:00PM

This piece measures 11" x 11.25" and is acrylic on maple. My nieces are absolutely huge BBT fans and they were so excited when I told them about this show. They helped me immensely putting together some fun details for this piece - thanks girls!

Next up is my painting for Spoke Art's Bad Dads art show tribute to the films of Wes Anderson. It's entitled, "Fantastic Family Portrait" This is always a fun show and I'm thrilled to be taking part in it again this year. The opening lasts a whole weekend!

This piece measures 8.5" x 12" and is also acrylic on maple. I had a blast once again painting a frame (it's a lovely gold) and this time incorporating some fun details from the movie, "Fantastic Mr. Fox".

Luna Ascensio Rex

I am so happy to show you my painting for Bad Dads III at Spoke Art. It's a tribute to the films of Wes Anderson and I chose his latest, "Moonrise Kingdom" to draw inspiration from. "Luna Ascensio Rex" measures 12.3" x 9.25" and is acrylic on wood. The show opens in San Francisco on October 26th and 27th (costume and Halloween party too!).
